As Indonesia reforms its healthcare sector to attract foreign investment and expand local production, Chinese companies are showing growing interest in entering this dynamic market. However, the complexity of local regulations, from OSS licensing to TKDN requirements, often creates barriers to entry.

In collaboration with Lestari, a market access platform for overseas businesses in Indonesia, 36Kr Global organized an online high-level policy session tailored for a Chinese business audience. The online event featured speakers from Indonesian government agencies and healthcare institutions, who provided a structured overview of regulatory developments, sector trends, and emerging investment opportunities.

We handled end-to-end audience engagement by coordinating outreach to relevant Chinese business participants. Chinese-language promotional materials helped convey the session’s focus, while livestreaming via the 36Kr website and 36Kr Chuhai WeChat platform brought the conversation to a wider audience across China’s global-facing business community.

After the event, we published a localized feature article on our media channels in China, summarizing the main takeaways in Chinese. Complex regulatory topics—including OSS licensing, TKDN compliance, tax incentives, and local production mandates—were translated into practical guidance. By pairing this with official data and contextual policy insight, the article offered Chinese healthcare firms a clearer view of the market’s potential.

The campaign also introduced Lestari’s 2025 Discovery Program to a new audience, generating early interest from Chinese firms exploring healthcare opportunities in Southeast Asia.

This collaboration demonstrates how editorial storytelling, policy translation, and targeted outreach can help international partners connect with China’s outbound business community by delivering clear, credible, and relevant content.
